It's Atif Aslam all the way in 'Prince' music

Atif Aslam dominates the soundtrack of Vivek Oberoi-starrer "Prince". Composer Sachin Gupta sure seems impressed with the popular singer as almost all the songs have been crooned by Aslam.

The film offers seven originals and nine remixes.

The soundtrack opens with "O mere khuda" with Atif Aslam and Garima Jhingon behind the microphone. The energetic song starts with a bang and has a powerful impact. This refreshingly upbeat song with a strong orchestration is the best in the album.

The song has a dance mix attached to it, which is quite similar to the original.

Up next is Shreya Ghoshal and Atif Aslam's "Tere liye", a fast-paced romantic number. The song offers nothing new but is enjoyable in parts. However, it's an Atif song all along and Shreya's voice seems to have been wasted in the track.

"Tere liye" has three more versions - a dance mix, a hip-hop mix and an unplugged version. While the first two feature the same singer, the latter version has the voice of the composer Sachin Gupta.

Then there is "Kaun hoon main", which will leave you in a trance. Sung by Atif Aslam, the soulful track has haunting music and the rise and fall of the tempo is interesting.

This song too boasts of two remixes - one a dance mix and the other a lounge mix.

"Aa bhi ja sanam" by Atif starts well but fails to retain interest. Weak lyrics and unimpressive music makes the composition an ordinary affair. The song had potential but finally doesn't make an impact.

"Aa bhi ja sanam" has a dance remix that is better suited for DJ consoles.

Next in line is an all-girls song. "Jiyare jiyare" crooned by Alisha Chinoy and Hard Kaur is a dance number but is just an average piece. The song has influences of Punjabi.

"Jiyare jiyare" has a bhangra mix too.

Then we have "Ishq mein" sung by Monali Thakur. The song seems quite unoriginal and is unimpressive. The music is strong but again won't win over many listeners.

Finally, there is the instrumental theme song of the film.

On the whole, the album has an overdose of remixes but is good in parts

Salman Khan, Katrina to rock Filmfare

Cliched yeah, but tonight is the mother of all nights. It’s the 55th Idea-Filmfare Awards nite and Bollywood is in a state of tizzy.

Can’t blame them, the line-up of performers who’ll take centre-stage is so impressive, that you can’t help but feel weak-kneed.

Show director Mohammad Morani says, “Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan will be anchoring the Filmfare Awards tonight. This is their fourth year together and everyone knows that with each passing year, this super-power combination only gets wiser and wittier.’’

This year livewires SRK and Saif are expected to outdo their own record of Bollywood’s best Khan couple in town because not only are they going to take centrestage from the beginning to the end, they also have a dozen gags planned to keep the powerful rolling in the aisles.

Okay, and it doesn’t all stop there. Riteish Deshmukh will serenade his current favourite, Jacqueline Fernandes, on stage for the first time ever. And they aren’t the only star couple who are going to be getting the temperature to rise. Bollywood’s best-looking superstar, and the one with the most chiselled abs, Salman Khan is dancing to a medlee of songs that include his all time favourites from Maine Pyar Kiya to Wanted. Starting with Kabootar Jaa, Jaa, Jaa to Love Me, Love Me ... Salman is naturally going to be the most loved guy this evening. Katrina Kaif, hmmm ... yes, she’s going to there too. Not only does Kat have a Best Actress nomination for New York, she’s also got new-found vigour to shake her leg to a combination of Indian and Western hits.

Choreographer-director Ganesh Hegde says Kareena Kapoor will definitely get temperatures soaring as she matches steps to her repertoire of super-hit songs including Zoobi-Doobi from 3 Idiots. And, Deepika Padukone will also shake a leg to her chartbusters from Karthik Calling Karthik and 2009’s best music track of Love Aaj Kal. Shahid Kapoor, who’s been on a media overdrive because of a lot of reasons, is going on stage at the Filmfare Awards paying obeisance to Michael Jackson. “I’m dancing to This Is It,’’ says Shahid, and he admits that though he is nervous as hell about the whole act, it has also got his adrenaline flowing.

Yes, the entertainment quotient is going to be so heady that no one is going to leave the venue complaining. The Lady in Black will accompany a chosen few home but even for the rest — it’s going to be a night they’ll want to relive again and again. There’s something about Filmfare ... that makes it so special

Fan sues Salman Khan

Salman Khan, who is known for his charity and generosity towards his fans, found his actions being questioned by someone who not too long ago was at the receiving end of his charm. A 30-year-old physically challenged lady has accused him of using her photographs to promote his film Veer and is also demanding to be compensated.

In April 2009, when Salman was shooting at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai, physically-challenged Phoolbanu Bakshi Sheikh insisted on meeting the star. When the actor’s assistant on the sets told her he was busy and could not meet her, Sheikh refused to leave until her demand was met. According to reports, the commotion drew Salman out of the vanity van. He met Sheikh, who was accompanied by two more women, on the sets and chatted with all of them for over an hour. Reports also stated that the actor had donated Rs 1 lakh to Sheikh.

Almost nine months after the incident, Sheikh has now accused the actor of using her photographs to show his softer side for promoting Veer. Sheikh complained, “It is true. I wanted to meet Salman badly. I am a poor woman and have been paralysed since birth. I used to worship Salman since I was a child. I am grateful to him as he gave us his precious time despite his hectic schedule. But I was shocked to know that it was just for publicising his film.”

“We have filed a complaint with the Gurgaon metropolitan magistrate court and have demanded Rs 25 lakh as compensation,” said Iqbal Solekar, the complainant’s lawyer. Salman’s secretary, Vikas Kapoor, said, “We are unaware of this defamation filed against Salman. And do you think Salman would do anything just to promote his film?” Senior inspector of Aarey police station, Mumbai, said, “We have received a complaint against actor Salman Khan and will be forwarding it to the Bandra police as the matter is concerning their jurisdiction.”

Bachchans to boycott Filmfare Awards

The first family of Indian cinema, the Bachchan parivar, will not attend the Filmfare Awards in protest of the "false" report published by a Mumbai-based tabloid about Aishwarya Rai's health.

Aishwarya, who was to perform at the awards has pulled out from the event and the Bachchans have served a legal notice to the newspaper and are demanding a public apology. The tabloid and Filmfare both belong to the same publishing group, who are organising the award ceremony.

"The lawyers notice has been delivered... seeking on a legal plane retraction and apology and we have informed Filmfare that neither will Aishwarya be performing at the event, for which all preparations had been made and neither shall any of us be attending," wrote Amitabh Bachchan on his blog. The tabloid had published an article stating that Aishwarya is suffering from stomach tuberculosis and therefore cannot conceive, a news branded as "completely false" by father-in-law Amitabh.

"For the moment that despite a few personal apologies from management and owners, no public apology has taken place. You cannot abuse me in public and then come and say sorry to me in private," wrote the veteran actor.

The Bachchans are being supported by R Balki, director of Amitabh and Abishek-starrer Paa, who too will skip the event despite his film being nominated in 5 categories.

"Balki, the director of the film, even when Paa has been nominated in five categories for the evening, is not attending. Thank you Balki," added Bachchan.

3 Idiots rules Filmfare Awards

As expected, 3 Idiots, the biggest Bollywood grosser ever, took top honours at the 55th Filmfare Awards. Besides the Best Film (Popular), Rajkumar Hirani also bagged the Best Director award for 3 Idiots at the Yashraj Studios in Mumbai on Saturday night.

Despite staying away from the 55th Filmfare Awards, Amitabh Bachchan still managed to make his presence felt. The Bollywood superstar picked up the Best Actor (Male) Popular award for his performance as 12-year-old boy suffering from a rare genetic defect called progeria in Paa.

Big B had earlier made known his intention to skip the prestigious awards night alongwith his family in protest of the 'false' report published by a Mumbai-based tabloid about Aishwarya Rai's health.

Vidya Balan, Bachchan's co-star in Paa took home the Best Actor (Female) Popular award.

Besides Bachchan, AR Rahman was another legend to be honoured at the Filmfare Awards this year. After winning accolades around the world, the music maestro once again created history by winning a Filmfare Award for the 25th time. Tabu and Kajol gave him the Best Music Award for Delhi 6 on Saturday night at the Yashraj studios in Mumbai.

Actor Shashi Kapoor and Khayyam have been honoured with Lifetime achievement awards.

Firaaq, the directorial debut of Nandita Das, picked up the Critics' Choice Award for Best Film. The film, set one month after the 2002 violence in Gujarat, has won a lot of critical acclaim since its release. The Critics Award for Best Actor (Female) went to Mahi Gill (Dev D) and Ranbir Kapoor was the Critics choice for Best Actor (Male). He was cited for 'consistently outstanding performances throughout 2009'.

While Mohit Chauhan won the Best Playback Singer (Male) award for 'Masakali' in the film Delhi 6, there has been a tie for the Best Playback Singer (Female) award. Kavita Seth (Iktara, Wake Up Sid) and Rekha Bhardwaj (Genda Phool, Delhi-6) have both shared the honours.

Other prominent winners at the 55th Filmfare Awards night so far include Boman Irani (Best Supporting Actor (Male) for 3 Idiots), Kalki Koechlin (Best Supporting Actor (Female) for Dev. D), Ayan Mukerji (Best Debutante Director (Male) for Wake Up Sid) and Zoya Akhtar (Best Debutante Director (Female) for Luck By Chance). Amit Trivedi has won the RD Burman Award for Music (Dev D) and Rajeev Ravi for Best Cinematography (again, Dev D).

A number of Bollywood A-listers attended the event. Genelia D'Souza dressed in a Christian Dior outfit has set high hopes for the night. Anurag Kashyap was present with girlfriend Kalki Koechlin, who won the Best Supporting Actor (Female) award for Dev D. Kashyap's film Dev D had been nominated in the Best Film category.

The 3 Idiots team, including Raju Hirani, Madhavan, Omi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, was seen arriving earlier in the evening. Harman Baweja, Tabu and Celina Jaitley are among the other stars present.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan hosted the night alongwith Saif Ali Khan. Shah Rukh even tweeted, "Have to head now for filmfare rehearsals. looong nite ahead. hope Saif doesn't fall asleep."

Apart from this awesome twosome on stage, there were some sizzling performances by Shah Rukh, Kareena and Shahid.

Mom and I have great emotional connect – Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, Contrary to reports, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor spent his 29th birthday with his family. He was especially delighted with the presence of his mother with whom he has “a great emotional connect”.

Referring to all the plans that had been reported for his birthday Thursday, Shahid says: “Everyone made plans that I didn’t know about. It was quite annoying. Even my guest list was prepared.

“But no, the truth was there were no plans beyond the family.”

About his mother’s presence on this birthday, he says: “Me and my mom used to live together. Now we live separately. But we have a great emotional connect. So ‘aal izz well’ on that front.

“My brother Ishaan stays with my mom and we’re always hanging out together. In fact, I was at his annual day hours before my birthday. I feel I’m terrible to my family and friends because I don’t give them enough time.”

During his 29 years, Shahid has only had a couple of birthday parties. “I had a party for my last birthday and it drove me nuts. If friends take over and have a party for me only then will I be part of it in future.”

His earliest memory of a birthday goes back to when he was four in Delhi. “It was in a two-bedroom apartment. As a child, I’d embarrass my mom at my birthdays by snatching the gift from the guest, opening it and expressing my pleasure or displeasure about the gift. They were very regular, typical middle-class birthdays.”

Regarding rumours of a link-up with actress Deepika Padukone, Shahid says: “I’ve met her a few times. I first met her at an awards function and then we bumped into one another at a couple of parties. She seems like a nice person.

“Of course, it’s very embarrassing, not so much for me as for the lady. When there’s someone in my life I’ll announce it properly. At the moment I’m scared to even meet a girl for fear of being linked up. But I won’t stop living my life the way I want to just because I fear being wrongly linked.”

Shahid’s closing thoughts on his birthday: “This is going to be a year of learning for me. In the last couple of years, I’ve been going on the sets and trying to behave as if I know my job.”

He is also excited about acting in his father Pankaj Kapoor’s film “Mausam”.

“Now this year I’m going to be a student to my father as he makes his film. I want to go on the set with an attitude of learning. I want to come out a better human being and an actor. And I know I will because there’s no better teacher than my father.”

Brad Pitt spends $10,000 on daughter’s shopping

London, Feb 26 – Brad Pitt, who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie, took his eldest girls, Zahara, five, and Shiloh, three, to the Bonpoint collection of children’s boutiques in Paris for a shopping trip and spent $10,000 on the younger girl’s choice.

‘Zahara chose very girlie outfits, but Shiloh only wanted items from the boys’ collection, which is in another boutique across the street,’ femalefirst.co.uk reported.

The kids were allowed to pick their own items, and Shiloh opted for boys’ outfits rather than girlie clothes.

‘Shiloh had absolutely no interest in the pretty dresses or skirts.’

Brad splashed out $10,000 on the entire Spring/Summer 2010 Bonpoint boys’ collection for Shiloh.

Angry over pregnancy reports Ash refuses to perform

Aishwarya Rai is furious these days and in no mood to forget or forgive the tabloid which recently published a report of her having pregnancy problems because of stomach TB.

She also backed out of performing at an award function associated with the mother company of the tabloid, for which she was being paid around Rs 85 lakh.

Aishwarya, who seldom dances at events after her marriage, had agreed to this particular function after a lot of consideration. But the moment she came to know that the 'blacklisted' daily was involved with the function, she backed out.

The Bachchan family has been demanding apology from the tabloid. She has even sent them a stern mail asking for an apology for publishing such baseless reports while hubby Abhishek had blasted the daily on Twitter.

However the apology hasn't come yet.

Arshad gets Rs 3 Crores for GolMaal 3, beats Kareena

He’s in. He’s out. He’s finally…. in! After the producers Ashtavinayak agreed to pay him a whopping Rs 3 crores to be part of the third segment of the ongoing Gol Maal franchise Arshad Warsi finally agreed to do the film.

After frantic negotiations the deal was finally cut on Monday. And yes, Arshad has condescended to be part of Gol Maal 3.

His 3-crore rupee fee is higher than every member of the cast barring Ajay Devgn. Even higher than Kareena Kapoor who has a 3-film deal with the producers.

Says a source, “Arshad after Ishqiya was adamant on his fee. The producers tried to convince him to take a much smaller fee arguing that his co-stars Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu (who replaces Sharman Joshi) were accepting a far smaller fee and if Arshad was paid 3 crores the other actors would feel short-changed. ”

Arshad stuck to his guns. Stories came out saying the actor, now hot at the boxoffice after Ishqiya (or so he believes) did not like the script of Gol Maal 3.

Says Rohit, “We were really keen to have him in the film. And yes the price has been worked out between Arshad and the producers. So he’s on. ”

Strangely though Rohit confirmed Arshad’s presence in Gol Maal 3 Arshad was still in denial. Said the actor, “I am not sure yet. They’ve been after me for some time now. But I’m not able to make up my mind. I need to give time to my own production Hum Tum Aur Ghost. So I don’t know how I’ll manage the dates. ”

However sources from Gol Maal 3 insist that Arshad is in at a staggering fee (for a non-lead actor).

The other actor like Arshad who has started acted pricey after a hit (3 Idiots) is Sharman Joshi who was reportedly asking for Rs 2. 5 crores. He turned down the third part of Gol Maal through his secretary.

Says Rohit Shetty, “Even before the scripting of Gol Maal 3 Sharman sent me a message through his secretary saying he had other plans.

I immediately looked for a replacement and am very happy with Kunal Khemu. Any regrets about Sharman? None at all. In fact we met at the airport recently and there wasn’t any mention of Gol Maal 3. ”

With Ishqiya and 3 Idiots Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi seem to be determined to move to the big league. Both actors are aiming to play the main lead.

Funnily Sharman’s next release Toh Baat Pukki is being promoted as a Tabu-Sharman Joshi film when Vatsal Seth has a role as important as Sharman.

Without naming anyone Rohit Shetty says, “There’re lots of very talented actors out here who are fabulous side attractions but can never be the main course. ”

We can safely assume he’s talking about Arshad and Sharman.

SRK, KJo's moment of history

That My Name is Khan is one of the biggest Bollywood global grossers ever is not just a professional triumph for two of the Hindi film industry’s most powerful names — Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar; it’s also a personal victory for them.

“Every time we have come together, something special has happened,” says the Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan. SRK, who has witnessed Karan’s graph rise with each of their films — be it Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho or Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and now My Name is Khan, smiles affectionately as he remembers their first meeting. “He was very young when he came to me to make Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But even then, he was crystal clear in what he wanted to say,” he remembers.

“With each passing film I have seen him grow in stature as a person and as a film-maker. Karan is family. Gauri and my kids — Aryan and Suhana — love him. And I feel a personal pride in seeing him scale the heights he has,” he adds.

For Karan, the journey of Khan is an emotional high. “Well, I’m ecstatic that the film has become the global phenomenon that it has. It has broken records,’’ says Karan. “But for me, what is of even more significance is the fact that SRK and I have an emotional connect. This makes our professional triumph even more special.” He admits that giving five-record-breaking films together is the result of “great synergy between the both of us. And, what makes this record even more meaningful for me is the fact that Shah Rukh and I share an emotional bond.”

If SRK has seen Karan mature from a boy to a man, Karan has also seen Bollywood biggest brand rise right in front of his eyes. “Professionally Shah Rukh is the biggest, most widely accepted Bollywood brand across the globe. And personally I have seen him grow from a husband to a father. The birth of his children changed him forever. He is now more restrained as a person. As far as his celluloid growth is concerned, well I don’t need to say it. Even those remotely connected to the movies will stand testimony for the fact that Shah Rukh is indeed King.’’

Neil Nitin Mukesh in Dhoom 3?

It's Dhoom time again for Yash Raj banner but with some new faces. We hear that YRF has summoned Sanjay Gadhvi again to direct the next instalment of the 'Dhoom' series which will star their current blue-eyed boy Neil Nitin Mukesh.

According to a source, “Neil who's very close to Yash Raj Films has convinced Aditya Chopra to let Gadhvi do the third Dhoom movie. Neil himself is very keen on being part of the third installment.

Adi assured him there would be room for the young actor who's currently shooting for Yash Raj's Lafange Parinde.”

When contacted Sanjay Gadhvi, the young director said, “Everyone keeps asking me about 'Dhoom 3.' But the franchise belongs to Yash Raj Films. If Adi asks me to do it, I'd take the plunge, no two ways about it. Anything for Adi.”

Meanwhile, Neil Nitin Mukesh is tight lipped about the whole project as he said, “Who doesn't want to be part of the 'Dhoom' franchise? I'd love to be in 'Dhoom 3.' If Adi directs it, nothing like it. I've met Sanjay Gadhvi for a movie over a meal of rajma and chawal, and that's all I can tell you right now.”

Ranbir talks about his girlfriends to Bipasha!

Torn between his love for Deepika and fascination for Priyanka, Ranbir Kapoor finds solace in his one-to-one chats with Bipasha basu. The two are said to be the close buddies and share the intimate details about their lives.

A source says that whenever the actor wants to relax and chit-chat about some personal stuff – like confessing about his girlfriends or just have a quiet dinner with a pal, he doesn't think twice before calling up Bips!

Bips is also very fond of Ranbir and she thinks he will be No.1 someday. Her beau John Abraham knows of her friendship with Ranbir. In fact John doesn't seem to mind Ranbir at all.

The sexy lady of Bollywood is also a good friend of Ajay Devgan and together they get along like a house on fire. So what makes Bips so special as a friend, especially for male actors?

SRK has not forgotten his old friend Farah Khan

While Farah Khan may have moved on to Akki with her 'Tees Maar Khan' but SRK has not forgotten his old friend.

The actor who is busy preparing for his superhero venture Ra1 surprised everyone when he told composer duo Vishal-Shekhar to allot their dates to Farah which they had blocked for Ra1.

However, the music directors couldn't delay SRK's film either, as Ra1 director Anubhav Sinha is eager to begin shooting. So the composers decided to work on both the films simultaneously.

Confirming the news Vishal told a leading tabloid, "Both Farah and SRK allow comfort and space for each other's recordings. So, both are being recorded simultaneously. Our dates and schedules are mapped out and pretty soild, so no issues there.

Luckily, the styles for both films are so different that we get to try new and different things for both. While Ra1 will have a more futuristic score, Tees Maar Khan will have a popular mainstream sound for the masses."

Meanwhile the King Khan is working hard to rebuild his six-pack abs. A source said, “SRK is on a strict diet for the film because he wants to get into a killer shape before he begins shooting for 'Ra1'."

A man with the heart of gold we would say!

Kareena-Shahid back on talking terms after bitter splitit up.

Shahid and Kareena who ended their relationship on a bitter note after Jab We Met, have finally started to talking to each other once again. Thanks to Karan Johar's 'peacemaking' skills the duo were seen exchanging pleasantries and having a conversation that lasted quite a while.

The venue for this patch up was SRK's abode, Mannat, where King Khan had hosted a celebration for My Name Is Khan.

Confirming the news a source said, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have done on many occasions in the past.

But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

“Shahid and Kareena have finally decided to leave their acrimonious past behind them. This was very evident in the manner all three of them - Shahid, Kareena and Saif - interacted with each other at Shah Rukh's party, ” adds the source.

Though none of the two acknowledged their patch-up, Kareena's official spokesperson said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.”

Claudia kisses Salman Khan for publicity

Topless German model and Big Boss contestant Claudia Ciesla was seen at a charity event in Mumbai on Sunday last week, where Salman Khan was present.

According to some press photographers Claudia ciesla walked up to Salman Khan and kissed him. The entire act was a publicity stunt for the media cameras to boost Claudia's falling TRPs as she has been unemployed and out of work after Big Boss.

Apparently Claudia made all the right noises and played to the gallery to attract maximum media attention. She made the most of Salman Khan's presence at the event. Wonder what Salman Khan has to say about such publicity stunts.

According to a press release issued by her Claudia Ciesla of Bigg Boss fame met Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at the Being Human event auction at Trident BKC held in association with a sports management company and TI Cycles to launch India's first ever international cycling event, Mumbai Cyclothon - Tour De Mumbai held at Bandra Reclamation on Sunday, 21st February, 2010.

We wonder what was Claudia doing at this event. Was it for charity or was she promoting herself by linking herself to Salman Khan?

Her press release reads, Claudia, who is just back from Germany went up to Salman Khan and congratulating him and expressing her support in the noble cause that the superstar has been endorsing.

Claudia met Salman for the first time since media reports that linked her to the superstar that surfaced last year.

However, the generous Bade Dilwala superstar displayed his class and his 'bigheartedness' while greeting the German-born actress and also chatting up with her at the Trident BKC event.

Claudia bid farewell to the superstar by giving him a peck on his left cheek that had the superstar blushing away to glory. And Claudia went away gushing with joy at being reunited with her good old friend. Well great PR Claudia, keep

Ranbir wants Deepika, Shahid wants Priyanka!

Possibility is one word that never fails to take Bollywood on a joyride. Everything is possible here. If there are friendships to die for then there are those who would do anything but cross their enemies' path. Here's a new round of possibilities that keeping the gossipmongers work overtime. Ranbir Kapoor apparently is too keen to get back in Deepika Padukone's life and Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are possibly reconciling!
Wondering why we clubbed them together? Actually, Deepika has become a common factor between the two pairs what with Shahid feeling drawn towards her these days. And that's rumouredly is the reason why, Ranbir is frantically trying to butt in. A friend of Deeps on condition of anonymity said that it was Ranbir who told Deepika that the relationship was off. She took it on her chin and moved on, keeping the hurt to herself. But the minute Ranbir heard about rumours linking her to Shahid Kapoor, he started sms-ing Deepika and their mutual friends, asking if the rumours were true. Ahem...ahem! Guess Ranbir Kapoor didn't realise that Deepika can move on too!

Shahid, on the other hand, has been mulling over other matters. His relationship with Priyanka Chopra ended on a rocky note a few days before Christmas last year, but both are apparently in the mood to rekindle their 'friendship'. A source said that Priyanka is still very fond of Shahid and if there is any girl who is on Shahid's mind right now, it's Priyanka. Incidentally, Priyanka's parents are also quite fond of Shahid. A few days ago, Shahid called up Priyanka's parents to wish them on their wedding anniversary. They feel he is a gentle and well-mannered boy! Wow! Home turf won already? Impressive Shahid! So what's the delay?

Angry Aishwarya boycotts award function

Fumed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in no way ready to forgive the tabloid that has published wrong reports about her pregnancy. Recently, she has backed out of the award function as the award function is linked with the same tabloid that has published false reports about her pregnancy.

She was even offered a whopping amount of 85 lakhs to perform at the event that Mrs junior Bachchan kicked away the money. After much effort, the organizers received the nod of the Bachchan Bahurani but all their efforts were wasted. She stated that “Main nahi nachhongi no matter how strong the lure of lucre.”

Ash is in no way ready to turn up for the event and in stead seeking apology from the tabloid. They have not responded till now.

Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan too slammed the media for publishing derogatory reports about the woman of their house.

150 crores, 10 Days: 'Khan' Film, Third In Bollywood History!

It's a spectacular win win situation for Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Fox Searchlight. 'My Name Is Khan' became the third film in Bollywood history to bag 150 crores worldwide, and in doing so has ushered itself into a supremely select group of films. Trade sources are already hailing it as the highest Shah Rukh Khan phillum, ever.

Only SRK could have managed this triumph. In Februrary, cold weather and exams in parts of India are often cited as dampeners for cine business. 'MNIK', however, as vaulted itself to fame, despite the blasts and controversies. Nadiadwala's 'Housefull' to be trailered with KCK

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is releasing the theatrical trailer of his latest multi-starrer Housefull with Farhan Akhtar-Deepika Padukone starer Karthik calling Karthik which releases this week.

Housefull, a romantic comedy, is a story of normal people caught in abnormal situations sparked off by a white lie. The film starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Arjun Rampal talks of the world's unluckiest man trying to find true love to change his luck, the film's director Sajid Khan said here today.

Sajid said both Sajid Nadiadwala and he believe the number 9 is lucky for them since their previous blockbuster together Heyy Babyy also added up to the number 9.

"Similarly, Housefull together adds up to the same which is bound to spell magic at the box office," he claimed.

Talking about the promo, Sajid said,"A trailer is meant to excite audiences enough to get them talking about the film. But as a maker you definitely do not want to give away too much of the story. I'm sure the audience will enjoy the promo."

He said the trailer cut selected as the final was also the 9th one. "Though the earlier cuts were good. Without doubt the 9th was the best," Sajid s

Akshay Kumar has not 1 or 2 but 3 wives!

No need to get alarmed or all excited as our 'Khiladi' is not going back to his old wandering ways, he is happily married to Twinkle! We are merely talking about his role in Sajid Khan's multistarrer, HOUSEFULL.

Those following the latest happenings in Bollywood will know that the trailer of the Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal and Chunky Pandey starrer, HOUSEFULL, is being showcased with the Farhan Akhtar-Deepika Padukone romantic mystery thriller, KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK, which is scheduled to release this Friday.

Just recently we had brought you the breaking news about HOUSEFULL and informed you about Chunky Pandey playing a rich Indo-Italian, who is in love with Akshay Kumar's wife and all hell breaks loose when Akki and his wife land up at Chunky's resort for their honeymoon!

Well, that is not all, we have more. Something that will surely make HOUSFULL an even more exciting film. Akshay is shown to be quite a character in the film (very much like HEYY BABYY) and has (would you believe it!) three wives in the film!

HOUSEFULL, the much anticipated next offering from the hit HEYY BABYY team is all set to storm the theaters on 30th April.

Ranbir trying to get Deepika back

If rumors are to be believed then, Ranbir Kapoor has been frantically sms-ing Deepika from the US where he's shooting, saying that he wants her back in his life.

A friend of Deepika says her dignity dissuades her from talking about her past, there's a distinct possibility of they getting back together. She adds it was Ranbir who told Deepika that the relationship was off. She took it on her chin and moved on, keeping the hurt to herself. But the minute Ranbir heard about rumours linking her to Shahid Kapoor, he started sms-ing Deepika and their mutual friends, asking if the rumours were true.

Shahid, on the other hand, has been mulling over other matters. His relationship with Priyanka Chopra ended on a rocky note a few days before Christmas last year but both are trying to connect to each other.

While they had never officially announced that they were dating last year, their fondness for each other was obvious, if their very public interaction on social networking sites is anything to go by. However, now they are connecting again, but through long phone chats.

While it is not clear who broke the ice, Priyanka and Shahid, who stay in the same building Raj Classic at Yari Road, are frequently calling each other and sending text messages.

A source says, “Priyanka is still very fond of Shahid. Incidentally, Priyanka's parents are also quite fond of Shahid. A few days ago, Shahid called up Priyanka's parents to wish them on their wedding anniversary.

Shahid also messaged Priyanka congratulating her on the National Award for Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion and she did reply, but after some time. It was reported that she had been rude to him and had deliberately not answered his text message.

It will be good to hear if any of the couples gets back together!!

I take advice from SRK: Farhan

That's because he switches off his phone at night. 36-year-old Farhan Akhtar also admits to being unsociable when working and not liking romantic films unless they come laced with drama. All this and more about the man who redefines cool

There are all these rumours linking you to your Karthik calling Karthik co-star Deepika Padukone which the two of you protest at every opportunity. Are you not overdoing it?
Honestly speaking, I can only speak for myself. Initially I didn’t protest, I thought it would blow over naturally. But then it began to get awkward and in very bad taste and that is when I started protesting. Then one thing led to another and now again I am tired of protesting. I also feel that now that we are pretty much coming to the end of the promotion of Karthik Calling Karthik and you will see us spending a lot of time with other people as opposed to each other, it will blow over.

Do such rumours affect you a lot?
It’s important for me because it affects my family. It’s weird for me to answer to my nine-year-old daughter who sees something on TV or reads a headline in a newspaper. Children tend to stress about these things a lot more than we understand. When I wasn’t addressing the issue she couldn’t understand why I was denying something to her but not telling the rest of the world. So to me it was important to come out and talk about it.

My daughter couldn’t understand why I was denying something to her but not telling the rest of the world

What’s with this schizophrenic behaviour you display? You are usually a party boy but when you work, either when acting or directing, you become all reclusive and incommunicado?
The thing is, and most of the people I know also say this, I am an extremist. When I am working I don’t want to know about anything else. When I want to party, I don’t want to work. So when I go on a holiday, more often than not, I won’t answer my phone. I really have to be pushed to deal with work when I am on a holiday. Similarly when I am working on the script of a film, I really don’t want to go out, I don’t want to do things which are going to takeaway my energy from what I really should be focusing on.

What influences you and your work?
Having kids has made me more aware of life beyond myself. I am aware that my choices will affect them even when I am not around. That also affects my work because my sensibilities and aesthetics have changed. I have grown up with women predominantly and that has led to me having a very healthy respect for them in terms of the treatment of them. I have an allergy to women being shown in a crude light, to be shown in almost a sexist way. I have had these allergies in any case; it has got a little more underlined now with kids. When they see my films, I don’t want them to think that dad is doing anything cheap.

Do you think your dad’s (Javed Akhtar with Salim Khan) films reflected the same concern?
Salim uncle and my father had a healthy respect for women. But because while they were writing, there was a lot more formula cinema, it was a requirement of the story that they had to write in a vamp, which you don’t necessarily need to do anymore. If there was a villain, he had to have a vamp. Similarly when I write Don, I go back to that kind of writing, Don had Isha in his life. How we treat the character can be different from how molls and vamps were treated at that time. But when you go back to that kind of writing, it’s a different world and it’s a different sensibility of filmmaking but within that you still want to treat them with a certain dignity. You can’t caricature them and make them one dimensional.

For Don you had a blueprint of sorts to follow. How does Don 2 take the character forward?
For me, Don’s character hinges on his cunning and smartness and the fact that he is playing all the characters in the film and at the same time, he also plays the audience. So, to me, the challenge is to do that again. Of course, you can do great action sequences, you can have great songs, a wonderful looking and talented cast who everybody wants to watch. But this time round, there is now no format to follow. To me that was exciting and what I am focusing again on is how to take Don to almost level two. This film is more of a caper to me than an emotional journey.

And how many ‘mulk ki police’ will be looking for him in Don 2?
Now I think it’s the whole world. Only Antarctica aur Arctic ki police uske peeche nahi padi hai.(laughs)

Could you ever do a mush film? A romcom?
Very honestly I must say that the romcom is one of my least favourite genres, even to watch. There are some of course, which I do thoroughly enjoy but they are very few and far between. Personally, I prefer drama, action and thrillers. If it’s a romance I would much prefer a classic romance like a Romeo and Juliet which has drama in it.

You work with actors as a director and compete with them as an actor. How do you differentiate between the two?
The people that I have worked with are the ones that I am good friends with and I do spend a lot of time with. One is obviously Hrithik and the other is Shah Rukh. Hrithik and I have known each other for really really long. We have been friends from way before I decided I wanted to be in films (he kind of always knew he wanted to be in films). So my friendship with him is beyond actor-director, whatever.

With Shah Rukh, I really started hanging out with him post Dil Chahta Hai. I feel a certain kinship with him. We have similar joys in terms of technology, we jam on many things. And many a times he has been someone I have turned to for advice. He is someone I have almost started feeling over time, again without sounding cheesy, like an elder brother. I know for a fact, not that he has told me so, that he is someone I can really count on, if the need arises. Even if we choose in the future to not work together, we will still hang out, we will still be friends.

For me, Don’s character hinges on his cunning and smartness and the fact that he is playing all the characters in the film and at the same time, he also plays the audience

Today’s actors pay a lot of attention to body and hair, the externals basically. Yesteryear actors looked almost the same in every film but it didn’t affect the strength of their performance. Comment.
I completely agree and I think it should go back to being how it was. Because I think, we are slowly but surely working towards this perfect world that everybody should exist in, which is not true. If there is someone on screen who is even relatively chubbier, immediately reviewers say he needs to lose a couple of pounds. Why? Doesn’t someone who is chubbier have a right to fall in love with someone? I find it disturbing that we are trying to make a Utopian world where great looking people and great bodies fall in love and nobody else has a right to.

Anyone who is skinny or bald or has a stammer or is fat is relegated to being a comedian, a character who needs help. I find this really disturbing. Did anyone stop to question why people fell in love with Sanjeev Kumar? It’s a dangerous obsession because it’s going to start limiting talent that’s coming in.

OFF THE CUFF

Rate Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and yourself on a scale of one to ten on the following parameters

Communication skills
SRK - 15
Aamir - 10
Hrithik - 8 or 9
Myself - 5

Life of a party
It is difficult to rate this in numbers. SRK and Hrithik are very funny. Both of them love dancing so once the party kicks off, they are always dancing. Aamir is a lot more reserved. In all honesty, I haven’t partied with Aamir since Dil Chahta Hai
SRK - 10
Aamir - 5
Hrithik - 10
Myself - 8 or 9

Easy to direct
Honestly, they were all very easy to direct.
ALL - 10

Willing to admit to mistakes
Again, I think, I would give all of them 10 and that’s what makes them good at what they do. I know for a fact that I can be stubborn about certain things.

Emotionally giving
I spend a lot more time with Hrithik and Shah Rukh than I do with Aamir. So it will be really difficult for me to say anything about Aamir on this front.

Extempore speakers
SRK- 10
Aamir - 5
Hrithik - 8
Myself - 5

Aware of the world
All of us are pretty aware of what’s happening in the world around us, so I would probably rate them just up there. Even if we want to detach ourselves from what’s happening around us you media people don’t let it happen. There is no escape. So 10 on 10 for everyone

Be a 3am friend
My friendship is more with Hrithik and Shah Rukh than it is with Aamir. My relationship with Aamir is a lot more professional than personal so to put him into this equation feels very weird as it’s unfair to him.

SRK-10
Hrithik-10
Myself - 0
I switch off my phone when I sleep, I love my sleep. I think I don’t qualify for this.

Politically correct
SRK-3 or 4, mostly he says what he feels
Hrithik- 10
Myself- 7 or 8, I have the knack of saying wrong things as well

Spontaneous
SRK- 10
Hrithik- 8, He has changed a lot from what he was to what he is now

Animal Charm
SRK-10
Hrithik -10
Both of them are very attractive people.
Myself - I don’t know about myself (laughs) how do I rate myself on animal charm?

Sallu, SRK, Hrithik getting intimate!

Money can even tempt angels. Superstars are but human. Don’t blame the A-listers in B-town. People are offering them vulgar sums of money to do anything.

So, suddenly every superstar in Bollywood is selling underwear. Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan are all brand ambassadors for various innerwear brands.

A trade source says, “When Sunny Deol and Govinda were selling these very brands, the snooty industry types used to secretly laugh at what they termed their desperation. Now, because these four stars have been paid anything between Rs 10-15 crores for selling chaddis and banians they are happy to lend their brand equity to underwear. And they’re even proud of their ‘masochism’.” Time time ki baat hai

Kareena: Yes, I eat!

If there is one aspect of Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor’s life that rates higher on the gossip charts than her relationship with the Junior Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan, it is her size-zero measurement.

Kareena got into shape under the guidance of dietician Rujuta Diwekar when she had to wear that bikini for Tashan (a film where she also bonded big time with Saif). In Kambakkht Ishq, Bebo once again tantalised the audience when she walked around in a black swimming costume. And each time she shows off her body-shape, she manages to add a few hundred fans to the already existing long list of people who think Bebo has the hottest figure in the business.

But surprise, surprise, Bebo hasn’t starved to get this enviable figure. Says she, “People often wonder whether I eat an orange for lunch. But that isn’t the case. I eat pasta, pizzas, french fries and even chocolates on occasions. However, I have been taught by my dietician how to eat right. I control the quantities, do upto 40 surya namaskars and stay this way.”

Kareena who leans towards spirituality rather than religion is vegetarian for the last five years of her life. However, she is not an advocate for vegetarianism. “To each his own,” says the reigning Bollywood queen, “Saif can eat a goat for lunch and dinner, and I sit right next to him at the table. I have no issues at all. My sister Karisma Kapur (who has the best figure, according to me) loves her fish curry and rice. My mum Babita, who is Catholic, likes her rum and raisin pudding. And my father Randhir Kapoor doesn’t know the meaning of the word vegetarian. In fact, he has been in a state of shock for the last five years because I have given up eating meat. He thinks I need my head examined.”

Kareena also laughs and says, “My size zero is such a hot topic of discussion at dinner tables across people’s homes, that when Saif and I eat out at a restaurant, people don’t stare so much at us, as much as they stare at what is on my plate. Some even ask the maitre de, ‘what is she ordering for dinner?’ I love the curiosity element.” She adds, “But food and films are things for which each one develops their own tastes. What is good enough for me, can never be good for you and vice versa. All I can say is that never starve. Eat right; and you will go places both with your shape and your soul.”

Deepika is Shahid’s special guest

Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapur is turning 29 this Thursday and director Siddharth Malhotra has planned a special party for Shahid. When Shahid Kapur came to know about the surprise bash, he asked Siddharth to add Deepika Padukone’s name in the guest list.

Though Deepika and Shahid are not doing any films together at the moment, they are very close to each other. They are constantly in touch over phone and news is also doing the rounds that they are in a serious relationship. They met each other at a party and both became friends. Something is definitely cooking between Shahid and Deepika.

The other guest of Shahid’s party is not yet known.

'Don 2' starts this year

Everyone's speculating about DON 2. Farhan Akhtar, who directed the SRK starrer DON, had announced the sequel to the film quite some time back. While Farhan got busy with his acting assignments and SRK too decided to work on RAB NE BANA DI JODI first and MY NAME IS KHAN next, one kept wondering when Farhan and SRK would start the next instalment of DON.

"DON 2 will start in October this year. We've locked the script and also the locations," Farhan and his producer-partner Ritesh Sidhwani tell me. The new DON will have two leading ladies. "Priyanka Chopra will be one of them. The second will be finalized in due course," Farhan states.

There's talk that the producers are also planning to start ROCK ON 2. "A lot of people want us to do that. Right now Abhishek [Kapoor, the director of ROCK ON] is working on another script. But if he finds a script that looks like a worthy follow up to ROCK ON, why not?" Farhan clarifies.

Seriously Gay

As India becomes more gay-friendly, Bollywood also has stepped up to discuss gay portrayals in a serious tone.

Films like Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyun, It’s A Man’s World and I Am Omar will show homosexual couples’ points of view and the hardships they face in a heterosexual world. They will also show how men are often exploited under different circumstances and are unable to express themselves.

Actor Kapil Sharma, who plays a wannabe gay model in Dunno Y... says, “Audiences want out-of-the-box experiences and are mature enough to accept such topics. My film’s for the niche urban crowd and has been handled sensitively. It’s a simple love story; the only difference is that it’s between two men,” he says.

In It’s A Man’s World, Mohsin Akhtar will flaunt his body and his acting skills. He feels that cineplex audiences make intelligent film choices. “Big banners are delivering more flops than hits these days, but quality products will sell. My film is engulfing and hard-hitting,” he says.
Actors are now doing comprehensive research before donning such roles. “I met a lot of gay people and attended discreet gay parties in Mumbai to observe their behaviour. I also watched movies based on this theme,” says Kapil. Mohsin interacted with male prostitutes for his role. “I met young male prostitutes at director Saurabh’s office and observed their body language,” he says.

Although director Madhur Bhandarkar cut the kissing scene between Samir Soni and his on-screen boyfriend in Fashion to avoid censorship, now directors aren’t hesitant about going all the way to show gay love on screen. According to reports, director Onir has included love-making scenes between Rahul Bose and Arjun Mathur in I Am Omar and he justifies it by saying, “Arjun plays a sex worker. So, we couldn’t do away with the physical aspect of the gay issue.” Kapil’s also seen in an intense scene in Dunno Y..., and Mohsin is shown as a playboy on his film poster.

Director Sanjay Sharma isn’t bothered about controversies or objections. “I have not included scenes to create hype. Without that intense scene, my film would’ve been incomplete,” he contends.

Saif Ali Khan looks forward to Race 2

With a Padma Shri and quite a few hits tucked under his belt, Saif Ali Khan is set to launch his second production venture and spy thriller Agent Vinod and says the delayed project is very much on.

"A lot has been said about Agent Vinod, but we are very much on track. Final touches are being given to the script and at the end of March we should have the film on the floors," Saif said.

After Love Aaj Kal, this will be his second production. Sriram Raghavan will direct it.

"Meanwhile, I definitely want to work on Race 2. To do a romantic comedy is also something that stands high up in my list, but then I am just waiting for a great script to come my way."

Taking a trip down memory lane, he said it was superhit Hum Tum that bailed him out during trying times.

"I would think that Hum Tum was a definite milestone film in my career. Yes, there was Kal Ho Na Ho which was a good success as well, but then I was a second lead there. Hum Tum was a solo hit and had the momentum going for me," Saif said.

"Soon followed Salaam Namaste, which further set the pace in my career. In the earlier years, Yeh Dillagi was definitely a landmark movie. Then came Main Khiladi Tu Anari, which again worked quite well for me," added Saif, who is one of the top actors today and a successful producer also.

Success came to him after a lean patch where nothing seemed to be working for him. With many of his films belonging to diverse genres failing at the box office, Saif was pretty much looking at the bottom of the barrel.

If one goes into flashback mode and takes a journey back in time, it wasn't too far back when he was dancing to the tune of Main hoon aashiq awara (Aashiq Awara) and Ole, Ole (Yeh Dillagi). Today, with Saif named for a Padma Sri, he has come a long way.

"Yeah, it was a disastrous patch and this is where Hum Saath Saath Hai came in handy. There were also Kachche Dhaage and Kya Kehna which were decent successes and then, of course, Dil Chahta Hai, which was another landmark film," said Saif.

Is there any other film that he believes brought a complete turnaround in the way he was looked at as an actor?

"Other than the aforementioned films like Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste and Kal Ho Naa Ho, diverse films like Parineeta and Ek Haseena Thi brought in further recognition.

"Being Cyrus was nice and offbeat too and then considering the kind of perception that people had for me, Omkara turned out to be huge as it showed quite some range. And now as we stand, I have a production like Love Aaj Kal. So, yeah, it's not that bad after all."

Ra. 1: Kareena is SRK's wife not a super-woman

Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t sleep. Or so it seems. He landed in Mumbai on Thursday from Dubai after a show, but shows no sign of strain or jetlag. Just before Dubai the mega-star was in Berlin for the film festival negotiating the attention of hundreds of screaming fans.

What we don’t know is that Shah Rukh met and bonded in Berlin with American auteur director Martin Scorcese and his favourite actor Leonardo di Caprio.

Says Shah Rukh, “Lenoardo, Martin and I spent some time together. Martin was gracious enough to remember that he had met me in Cannes way back in 2002 when I was there for Devdas. He wants to watch Devdas and I’ve promised to send it to him. I’ll do so right way.”

After the glorious performance in My Name Is Khan as a physically-disabled underdog journeying across America on a whimsical mission, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to play the super-hero flying across the sky to save humanity.

True to its mythological title Ra. 1 which starts shooting next month in Mumbai followed by Goa and London, will have Shah Rukh combating 10 villains. Raavan according to Hindu mythology, was a ten-headed demon whom Ram vanquished single-handedly.

In Ra. 1 the modernday Raavan has been turned into ten different villains whom super-hero Shah Rukh, the modernday Ram will annihilate one after another.

Shah Rukh Khan seemed remarkably relaxed in Berlin on the day after his film My Name Is Khan opened in Mumbai accompanied by violent protests by the Shiv Sena.

Said Shah Rukh from Berlin, “I missed the opening in Mumbai. But I believe people have liked the film. I’m being told I’m in character. That’s good to hear. Give me a character to be in, and I’m right there. ”

The SRK brand of humour was intact when told that My Name Is Khan doesn’t look like a Karan Johar film. At his deadliest deadpan best SRK retorted, “Yeah, even I felt like that when I first saw it. I told Karan, ‘Arrey yaar yeh tum ne kaisi picture banayee hai?’.

Actually the three ladies in our lives Hiroo Aunty (Karan’s mother Hiroo Johar), Kajol and Gauri have made this film. ”

Getting serious SRK said, “I thought it would take audiences a little time to come to terms with the film. But I am glad it was well-received. ”

After playing the under-dog in two successive films Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and My Name Is Khan (we aren’t counting his guest appearance in Dulha Mil Gaya) Shah Rukh will be flying across the sky in Ra. 1. The estimated budget of the film to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies, is Rs 100 crores. And no Kareena Kapoor won’t be joining him in midair.

She plays Shah Rukh’s grounded wife and not a super-woman.

Says a source close to Ra. 1, “Kareena was keen to attempt the hi-jinks with Shah Rukh, specially since Agent Vinod where she had a lot of stunts has again been postponed But in Ra. 1 all the conflict involves Shah Rukh and the ten villains. ”

Shah Rukh along with the film’s director Anubhav Sinha and journalist-writer Mustaq Sheikh, has co-written Ra. 1 and will be credited as one of the writers. The film will be in Hindi.

Says the source, “He was advised to make the film in English. But Shah Rukh decided to make it in Hindi. Why should he pitch his super-hero film to the Western audience when they already have their Superman and Spiderman? Shah Rukh has no aspirations of cracking Hollywood on their terms. ”

The film requires the star to perform never-before heart-in-the-mouth stunts, which he’s gearing to do.

Salman with Katrina in comedy?

If things work out as planned then we will soon see this hot couple of B-town on screens, churning out some comedy… According to our birdies, director Anil Sharma, the man behind Veer, will next give out a comedy film, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

It is heard that before staring on mega-budget period film, the director had plans to give a hilarious project. However, after Salman pressed on with ‘Veer’, Anil left behind his plans.

Now that everything is well settled, the director is gearing to bring up the romantic-comedy film. And he seems to be confident that this project will be his one of the best.

We really hope these rumours materialize… After all who wouldn’t want to see this real-life couple on screen…

Rani meets SRK, Kajol in London

Rani Mukerji, who stars in Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica, reportedly insisted on doing all her shopping for the role in London.

The film is based on the murder of Jessica Lall, and the shooting for the film is already underway in Delhi. According to sources, Rani was in London at the same time as Kajol, KJo and SRK were there to promote MNIK, so a trip that was to last 2-3 days was stretched to a week in the company of friends.

Dino's kiss harmless: Kangna

There was buzz that director Kunal Deshmukh and Kangna Ranaut are an item.

If that’s true, then Dino Morea must have rocked their love boat! The pictures of her and Dino, in what looked like a passionate kiss was harmless according to the actress. “I know Dino for a while now. We’ve met socially and even had a few laughs but to make it seem like there is something more is terrible,” says the curly-haired temptress. Kangna also adds, “I’m done with relationships.

I have 10 movies to complete this year, and will perhaps take on another dozen next year. What I’m trying to say is that I’m completely swamped by work. I have no desire to get into another relationship. I’m done with those.” The actress says the next time she dates a man, it will have to lead to a walk up the altar. “Marriage is what it will be,” says Kangna, adding, “I may marry three years down the line or perhaps even five years down the line. But I’m certainly not interested in the dating scene.”

Salman Khan returns 1.5 cr for Arbaaz’s sake

Salman Khan who is said to be unprofessional has showed that he is very particular about his work and won’t like to bring loss to anyone for his own sake. He has retuned Rs 1.5 cr that he was offered for a single performance at the wedding reception of Videocon owner Venugopal Dhoot's brother Pradeep Dhoot's son Saurabh for his brother Arbaaz Khan’s sake.

The date of his performance collided with an important action sequence of Arbaaz’s film ‘Dabanng’ in Wai and Sallu without looking at the financial loss returned the money. I want to work with Salman Khan: Deepika Padukone

She began her Bollywood journey with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om but it is actor Salman Khan, who is on the wish list of Deepika Padukone. "I am really looking forward to work with Salman," Deepika told PTI.

"In fact we were supposed to be paired up much earlier but then a couple of films didn't quite work out. That's sad but I am sure that in near future, we would be paired opposite each other," said the actress, who will next be seen with Farhan Akhtar in Karthik Calling Karthik.

The 23-year-old has already worked with hotshots like Akshay Kumar Chandni Chowk To China and Saif Ali Khan Love Aaj Kal and will next be seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Imran Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh in Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, Break Ke Baad and YRF's untitled film respectively.

Meanwhile, one wonders what happened to a film called Kick which was rumoured to be featuring Salman and Deepika together. The remake of the namesake Telugu film, it was supposed to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss of Ghajini fame.

"It is plain rumour. Reports of me working with Salman in Kick are untrue. In fact I haven't been offered any such film", the actress said.

While Deepika's track record shows that she has been enjoying a release once every six months ever since the release of Om Shanti Om, the frequency is all set to increase in the coming months.

Soon after Karthik Calling Karthik (February), Deepika would be seen in Housefull (April). Either Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se or her film with Neil Nitin Mukesh would be her next release thereafter. Incidentally, both the films are being shot at a brisk pace.

With so much work happening and no play, isn't she worried of burn out? Doesn't she fear getting all tired and worn out with so much work happening month after month? "Honestly, I don't look at working in films as a job.

I really enjoy performing and what I do is something that gives me maximum pleasure and satisfaction. I am better off facing the camera", smiles Deepika. "In any case, I am taken well care of both on and off the sets. I feel comfortable and secure and there are no complaints whatsoever," she said.
