Off late, more couples in Bollywood seem to be breaking up rather than coming together. The latest twosome said to have split is Ameesha Patel and her London-based boyfriend Kanav Puri (pictured left).
Ameesha apparently is not ready for marriage while Kanav is desperate to settle down.
He proposed marriage to her last June on her birthday. Ever since then, Kanav has been trying to convince her to get married. But marriage is not Ameesha’s priority as she wants to focus on her career.
We don’t even remember when she last gave a hit, but Ameesha is desperate to hang on to her career.
According to sources, the recent truce and subsequent growing proximity between Ameesha and her parents is also a reason why she is taking Kanav lightly.
Kanav came into to her life when she desperately needed someone as she had left her parents and broken up with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. Kanav filled the emotional void and they stuck together for three years.
In fact, Kanav even played a key role in the patch-up between Ameesha with her estranged parents.
But now, he’s apparently got tired of waiting for Ameesha to commit to marriage, an issue that was leading to a lot of fights and tension between them.
So the couple has decided to call it quits on their relationship and give each other space.
